A History of Craftsmanship
Bob Lucas, founder of Suburban Remodeling, began building and remodeling homes in the greater Rochester, NY area in 1949. He formed the company Suburban Remodeling in 1972. From the very beginning, Bob adopted the motto, "Do the best you can to exceed every customer's expectations." To this day, this belief is carried out by Bob's two sons Dean and Rob, who now run the business. Over the years, the team at Suburban Remodeling has worked on all types of projects from building garages, remodeling attics, finishing basements to remodeling kitchens and bathrooms. Over the past 20 years Suburban Remodeling has become the premier kitchen and bath remodeling specialists in the Rochester, NY area.
The Team
Dean & Rob Lucas take great pride in operating Suburban Remodeling. From the first meeting to the final walk-through, they are there to insure your complete satisfaction with every step of your project. This insures your wishes and concerns are met everyday by the same craftsman from start to finish. Although this way of doing business has become a lost art in today's fast paced world, Dean and Rob feel this is the only way to guarantee you the best job every time.
Dean Lucas started working with his father when he was barely old enough to walk. When Dean was 18 he began working full-time side by side with his father, and in 1987 Dean and his father became business partners. At this point, Dean and his father decided to concentrate their efforts on remodeling kitchens and bathrooms. Under his father, Dean was taught every aspect of the kitchen and bath remodeling craft. He developed a mastery of these skills from demolition, framing and drywalling to plumbing, electrical and finish carpentry. To this day, Dean is the primary craftsman who completes these tasks on every job.
Dean also directs all business operations for Suburban Remodeling. This includes managing the
office, working with the designers, laying out each job's specifications, ordering materials and coordinating project timelines. He is present on every job, everyday from start to finish. Dean has a true passion for his work and completes every job as if it was his own.
Rob Lucas joined the team in 1998. He also worked side by side with his father developing his knowledge of the kitchen and bath remodeling craft. Rob naturally gravitated toward the planning side of the business. He has a keen eye for design and enjoys working with customers to transform their dreams into reality. Starting at the initial planning meeting, Rob listens to and documents your goals, concerns and desires for your project. He is there to explain every step of the process and answer any questions you have at anytime.
