Kitchen Remodeling Overview

Suburban Remodeling has been concentrating on kitchen remodeling in the Rochester, NY area for the past two decades. We have seen trends come and go, but our commitment to quality has never wavered. We take great pride in completing all work ourselves and subcontractors are never used. Our projects are all professionally managed from start to finish. Initial meetings include lots of questions and answers from both parties. Our objective is to explain all of your options and to give you our perspective of over 35 years in the remodeling business. Our professional design team then comes up with various options for your dream room. After the design is finalized we begin construction.

Most Suburban Remodeling kitchen projects are completed in 10 days or less. The morning of the first day onsite involves a review of the project with the homeowner. Any last minute questions and concerns are addressed before any work begins. Later that morning, tarps are laid and plastic dust shields are hung prior to beginning the demolition phase. Before the dust has even settled we are working on any necessary changes to the rooms framing, electrical, plumbing and heating systems. By day 2 or 3 drywall is up and finished and preparations are made for hanging the kitchen cabinets.

This brings us to the very important step of making a template for the countertop. All countertops, regardless of materials used, take time to fabricate. The sooner in the process we can get this started the better. This way, while the countertop is being made in the shop, we can continue preparing the kitchen for its installation. Work continues trimming out the electric by installing switches, outlets and light fixtures. We also work on installing all moldings and trim work. This includes simple door and window casing as well as complicated stage molding and intricate crown and detail moldings. After this our focus turns toward tile and backsplash installation, as well as completing the chosen floor treatment. The completed countertop is then brought to the house and installed. After all work is completed, a final walk through with the customer occurs. Any last questions concerning upkeep and maintenance are answered and all work is thoroughly reviewed to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction has been achieved.
